Messerschmitt Me 262

The Messerschmitt Me 262 was the first operational figher aircraft to use jet engines. It saw limited action during the end of World War II.

The rock band Blue Öyster Cult wrote a ballad entitled "Me262" describing one piloted by a "Captain von Ondine" engaging a flight of English bombers.
