Lucasfilm Games, which later became LucasArts Entertainment Company, was founded by George Lucas. The company is most famous for its line of point and click adventure games, a subgenre that it effectively spawned with Maniac Mansion (1987). (This was back when [computer mice]? were not in general usage -- most users pointed and clicked with help of their Joystick.) In Labyrinth (1986), the point and click interface was not fully developed, but it is clearly a precursor to the much more influental Maniac Mansion.

Further games of this type are [Zak McKracken]? (1988), [Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade]? (1989), Loom? (1990), the Monkey Island series (1990,1991,1997), [Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis]? (1992), Day of the Tentacle (1993), Sam and Max (1993), [Full Throttle]? (1994), [The Dig]? (1995).

The outtrodden paths were left with the release of [Grim Fandango]? (1998), featuring 3D actors, and ... no cursor to point at things.

Other games include: Ballblazer?, [Rescue on Fractalus]? (1985), [The Eidolon]? (1986), [Koronis Rift]? (1987), [Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine]?
