Born Jay Greenspan, Alexander is an accomplished actor who played a key role in the award-winning TV sitcom "Seinfeld", arguably the most successful TV series ever made. His character, the neurotic ne'er-do-well George Costanza, Jerry Seinfeld's best friend, was based in part on the show's creator, Larry David.
