Governors of Tasmania
Note: From 1804 until July 1 1812, the North and South of Van Diemen's Land were separately administered. This list only covers the period after their reunification. From 1813-1855, Tasmania lacked a Governor, was administered by a Lieutenant-Governor or Commandant instead of a Governor; the below list treats these Lieutenant-Governors and Commandants as if they were Governors.
