Giga

Giga is a prefix in the SI system of units denoting 10⁹, or 1 000 000 000. The SI abbreviation of giga is "G".

In computer science a giga can sometimes mean 1 073 741 824 (2³⁰), instead of 1 000 000 000, especially when used to prefix the byte, giving a gigabyte.
