Ethene, a.k.a. ethylene, consists of two carbons and four hydrogens. The two carbons make double bondings. Ethene is an unsaturated hydrocarbon.

(The bondings are not in the right angles)

From ethene by polymerization the popular plastic polyethene can be made.
