Enrico Fermi

Enrico Fermi was physicist. He was born in Rome September 29, 1901 and he died in Chicago on November 29, 1954.

Fermions are named after him.

He built the first nuclear pile and the first controlled nuclear chain reaction. He was a leader in the manhattan project. The Nobel Prize/Physics was awared to him in 1938 for "his demonstrations of the existence of new radioactive elements produced by neutron irradiation, and for his related discovery of nuclear reactions brought about by slow neutrons."
