Commuter train

The commuter train is a special case of the usual train, specifically designed to work as a part of a public transport system. It is usually optimized for maximum passanger volume, sacrificing comfort and luggage? space. The range of commuter trains is quite large, due to the high speed at which they travel.

Commuter trains differ from undergrounds mainly by being larger and running above ground on standard track width. Commonly used on the standard railway system, commuter trains also travel faster and have a longer duration between stops than underground trains. Because of this, commuter trains are used for longer distance travel than undergrounds.
