It's also supposed to exist in Mexico, and yes I knew that before I saw it on X-Files. :-) People there made jokes about it and there were T-shirts of it at all the little turist traps. Kind of like Bigfoot in the U.S., most people don't believe in it but every now and then you meet someone who does.
