Bliss bibliographic classification

A library classification system devised by Henry E. Bliss, who was in charge of the library at the [College of the City of New York]?, now known as The [City College]? of the [City University of New York]?. This system, though devised in the United States, was more commonly adapted by British libraries than by American ones.
