Atlas Shrugged/Eddie Willers

Special Assistant to the Vice-President in Charge of Operation at Taggart Transcontinental. Eddie Willers grew up with Dagny Taggart. His father and grandfather worked for the Taggarts, and he followed in their footsteps. He is completely loyal to Dagny and to Taggart Transcontinental. He is also secretly in love with Dagny. He is meant to be a sympathetic character.

Eddie Willers is generally assumed to represent the common man.

I found Eddie Willers' fate at the end of the book interesting - I almost wanted Eddie included with the Strikers in Galt's Gulch. Ok, he wasn't in the same caliber as John Galt & co. but he certainly fought against the Looters
