2001 - A Space Odyssey

2001: A Space Odyssey is both a film directed by Stanley Kubrick in collaboration with Arthur C. Clarke (1968), as well as a novel written by Clarke.

It is based on Clarke's short story [The Sentinel]? (1951), which he subsequently developed into a novel. A sequel novel, [2010 - Odyssey Two]? (1982), was released as a film in 1984. Later novels in the series include [2061 - Odyssey Three]? (1987) and [3001 - The Final Odyssey]? (1997).
